It can be most helpful to work with children and young people from the age of three upwards before problems become deep-seated and more complex.

Rashida Harries has worked with children and young people for a number of years using non-directive play, creative arts and story-telling and is specially trained in offering EMDR for children.

Issues successfully worked with and resolved include; bullying, bereavement, trauma and neglect, attachment issues and relationship difficulties.

Working with children often entails some supportive work with parents or carers in addition to work with the child alone.

As a professional working with children, child protection is a major concern, and child protection procedures will be strictly followed.

We are happy to consider interventions as part of a multi-disciplinary team.  Please see our Professional Info page.

There was a four year old child whose next door neighbour was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbour, the little boy said,

“Nothing, I just helped him cry."
